This free, family-friendly event is from 5pm - 8pm at Merrifield Park and Ice Rink, and includes ice skating, refreshments, a bonfire, live nativity, hayrides, a visit with Santa, carolers and much more!

A longtime Mishawaka tradition has been the donation of a Christmas Tree, by a Mishawaka family, for the “lighting of the tree” in downtown Beutter Park. Many trees that have been donated in the past come with a story about when it was planted or what is has meant to the family. The family is invited to the lighting ceremony in downtown Beutter Park on November 30th to be the guests of honor at the ceremony and “flip the switch” to light the tree.
Effective November 19, 2012, Indiana Social Security offices will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – a reduction of 30 minutes each weekday. In addition, beginning January 2, 2013, offices will close to the public at noon every Wednesday.
On November 23, the day after Thanksgiving, all Social Security field offices will be closed to the public to allow employees working that day to focus on reducing backlogged workloads.
Mayor David Wood today announced that the Mishawaka Street Department will begin the city’s annual fall leaf pick-up program on Monday, October 15th. Mishawaka residents may begin raking leaves to their curbside starting the weekend of October 13th & 14th.
The Mayor stated that the City is better equipped than ever to pick up leaves from the curbsides of Mishawaka homes.
