On Tuesday August 4, 2015 neighborhoods throughout the City Of Mishawaka are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the Annual National Night Out. The National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness in our neighborhoods and business districts. Support is generated for local anti-crime efforts and to strengthen neighborhood spirit.
Mishawaka Police Chief Ken Witkowski announced that Detective Lt. Robert Pawlowski, currently assigned to the Investigative Division, as the recipient of the Mishawaka Police Department's "Officer of the First Quarter for 2015." Lt. Pawlowski received the award for response when observing gunshots fired from an apartment as he was driving home after his regular shift.
Join Mishawaka Parks as they kick-off the Summer Movie Night in the Park series this weekend, July 17-18. Movies are free and open to the public so bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the show!
The City of Mishawaka will reopen a renovated Central Park to the public on Friday, July 3rd at 9:15 pm. Sunset was chosen as the time in order to show off some of the new lighting including color changing LED lights located on the pedestrian bridge by the dam and the new programmable fountain in the park. The ribbon cutting will take place in the middle of the Park just west of the large rope climbing structure and the public is invited to attend. It is our hope is that hundreds of people will assist in cutting the ribbon.
