Historic Preservation Commission Awards Plaque

The City of Mishawaka Historic Preservation Commission continues to identify local landmarks by affixing bronze plaques. On Thursday August 6, 2015, the plaque was installed at the Carlton Tavern House located at 911 Lincolnway West.

While installing the plaque, HPC Advisory Member Cliff Zenor chatted with owner John Cogan, who shared part of a South Bend Tribune newspaper article written by Connie Johnston indicating the house had at one time been used as an orphanage.
