Trick or Treat times within the City for Halloween 2016 will be from 5pm-7pm on Monday, October 31st. Please use extra caution when driving during these times as many children will be walking the streets in their hunt for goodies.

Through the combined efforts of the Mishawaka Sewer and Central Services Departments, the Beutter Park River Race was drained and cleaned in early October. Over the last several years the City’s premier water feature had accumulated a significant amount of heavy muck and debris.
Mishawaka Fire Department will hold three open houses to coincide with National Fire Prevention Week. Each open house will feature fun for the whole family including food and drinks, face painting, bounce house, fire extinguisher demonstrations, crafts and handouts for the kids.
Mayor Dave Wood and Parks Superintendent, Phil Blasko, announce the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the newly renovated Battell Community Center. The ceremony will take place at the facility located at 904 N. Main St, on Monday, October 10th at 5:30 pm. Facility tours will follow the ceremony until 6:45pm and a showing of the Wizard of Oz in the Auditorium at will begin at 7:00 pm.
